Dating in today’s age is a bit of a minefield if we are being honest, no matter what age you are. Every day we check our social media feeds and see all of our friends are happily in love or dating someone we wish we could find. Then, to top it all, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and the last thing you want to do is spend it alone…AGAIN this year!

Stream A Movie
Technology seems to grow daily these days so a great option you both could do is stream a movie together. This will make you both feel like you are spending the night together and not watching it miles away from one another. If you and your partner are not big movie watchers then watch a television show together, or a sports game. This option is really about spending time together, and forgetting that you both are far away from one another. You both have to think about that already every day so throw your worries out the window and get lost in one another while streaming a video.
Facetime Dinner
Before Valentine’s Day go ahead and schedule a dinner over facetime or video chat so you both are free. Agree to cook the same meal you both like so this way you both will feel more connected through the call. This is another great way to forget about the world and the distance between the two of you and just have a romantic night between you both. If you both can’t decide on what to eat together, go out on a whim and get a meal delivered you both have never tried. Then while cooking the meal you both could facetime and interact with each other before sitting down for your meal. Another great idea to add to the dinner is to make a toast about one another. Take the opportunity to express your love for one another, everything you both have been through, and the plans you both have for the future. This will make the dinner even more romantic no matter how far away you both are.
Make A Playlist
If you both are music lovers you both could make a playlist together of songs that remind you of each other or memories you have had together. Not only is this a great way to express your love between one another, but it also will help you learn more about each other. While making the playlist facetime each other and challenge each other to a dance off or a karaoke contest. Have fun while doing this with your loved one, and open up. Tell them why certain songs make you think of them or the relationship you both have. Singing and dancing to music is a great way to express your feelings and have a great time with the person you love.
Plan A Trip
If you both have been together for awhile or maybe even a little bit you both could plan a trip together. Maybe you both have discussed going on a cruise, or flying to a city you both have been wanting to visit, or a tropical vacation. This would be a great night to plan it! Not only will it keep both of your minds off of not being with each other, but it will give you both something to look forward to doing together. Planning a trip will also let your lover know that you plan to be with them for a while, and you want a future with them. The excitement of planning a trip with your loved one and sharing many memories with them is something you both will never forget.
